Britain's self-employed army grows by 88,000

Britain’s self-employed sector has increased by 88,000 with 77,000 of the extra people female, official data has revealed.
The Office of National Statistics said self-employment saw a 2% rise in October to December 2014 compared to the same period the year before.
On a quarterly basis the sector saw a decline with self-employment falling by 19,000 in the last three months of last year compared to July to September. Men going it alone fell by 2%, although the figure was up 2% for women.
